Standard float glass will protect your artwork from dust, while UV glass has a protective coating that will prevent your picture from fading - particularly essential for watercolours, colour photos and silk.

 

Art glass comes with different levels of UV filtration but also reduces reflections - this really brings clarity, especially for darker pieces.

If your artwork is particularly large, or is to be hung in a child's bedroom, you may wish to opt for acrylic for safety, and to reduce weight. There are UV acrylic and low-reflect acrylic options too.
